What a navigator does
- • Explain your options in plain language
- • Look for specialists, clinics and clinical trials near you
- • Help with paperwork, scheduling and preregistration
- • Help you plan travel, transportation and telehealth access
- • Follow up after a referral to see whether you got care
What a navigator cannot do
- • Diagnose a condition or tell you what is wrong
- • Prescribe, change or advise on medication or treatment
- • Give medical, legal or insurance advice
- • Guarantee an appointment, acceptance into a trial, or coverage
- • Provide emergency or crisis care
